Description: Diagnosing and treating conditions: Rheumatologists diagnose and treat complex conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system and connective tissues. They treat a variety of conditions, including arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and osteoporosis.
Creating treatment plans: Rheumatologists design customized treatment plans for each patient based on their disease and the results of their lab tests.
Performing procedures: Rheumatologists may perform practical procedures like joint injections and muscle biopsies.
Conducting investigations: Rheumatologists may perform investigations like x-rays, ultrasound scans, and MRI scans.
Supervising and teaching: Rheumatology consultants may supervise and teach junior staff.
Researching: Rheumatology consultants may research opportunities.
Collaborating: Rheumatology consultants may collaborate with colleagues to maintain and develop rheumatology services.
Rheumatologists are board-certified internists or pediatricians who have additional training and experience in diagnosing and treating conditions of the joints, muscles, and bones

Requirements: Requirements:
• Medical Degree (M.D. or equivalent) from a recognized and accredited medical school.
• Complete a residency program in Rheumatology, typically lasting three to four years.
• Medical license to practice in the UAE, specifically through the DHA as Rheumatologist
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic can be beneficial for effective communication.
