Description: Patient Care:
Assess patients, explain procedures, prepare them for exams, position them correctly for imaging, and ensure their comfort and safety during the procedure.
Equipment Operation:
Safely and effectively operate various imaging equipment, such as X-ray, CT, MRI, or fluoroscopy machines, to obtain clear images.
Image Management:
Prepare, process, and maintain image quality, ensuring images meet established standards for physician review.
Collaboration:
Work closely with physicians (radiologists) to interpret images and determine if additional images or tests are needed.
Record Keeping:
Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and scan results in department or electronic records systems.
Safety Protocols:
Adhere to strict radiation protection techniques, infection control policies, and other safety procedures to protect patients and staff.
Equipment Maintenance:
Adjust and maintain imaging equipment, perform routine checks, and report any malfunctions or issues.
