- Patient Examination and Diagnosis:
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including using X-rays and dental instruments, to diagnose complex oral conditions and identify the need for prosthodontic treatment.
Treatment Planning:
Consult with patients to understand their concerns, review medical histories, and develop individualized, detailed treatment plans for restoring oral function and appearance.
Prosthetic Design and Fabrication:
Take impressions of patients teeth and jaws to determine precise dimensions for dental prostheses, sending models to a dental laboratory for custom fabrication of devices such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants.
Prosthetic Fitting and Adjustments:
Fit fabricated dental prostheses into patients mouths, ensuring proper fit, comfort, and function, and make necessary adjustments.
Specialized Dental Procedures:
Perform a range of procedures, including dental implantation, full mouth rehabilitation, repairing chips and cracks with bonding, and teeth whitening.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other dental and healthcare specialists to create holistic treatment plans for patients with complex dental needs.
Patient Education:
Advise patients on proper oral hygiene practices to maintain the health of their restored or replaced teeth and oral structures.
Required Skills
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in dental technologies, prosthodontic procedures, and working with dental laboratories.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to assess complex situations, analyze patient needs, and devise effective solutions.
Communication Skills:
Excellent ability to communicate clearly with patients, explaining complex procedures and treatment options.
