Description: A Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications and providing medication-related services to patients. They play a crucial role in healthcare by ensuring the safe and effective use of drugs. Their responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, counseling patients on medication usage, monitoring for drug interactions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities
• Review and interpret prescription orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
• Dispense medications accurately and provide proper labeling and packaging.
• Educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues.
• Monitor and assess patients response to medication therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication profiles.
• Provide medication counseling and advice to promote optimal health outcomes.
• Conduct medication therapy reviews and make recommendations for therapy optimization.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
• Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Strong knowledge of drug classifications, dosage forms, and medication safety.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or pharmacology.
Proven experience as a pharmacist.
Valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications, used by pharmacies, such as MEDITECH and Mediware.
Great organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
