Description: Preparing and checking medication prescribed to the patient
Identifying potential interactions between drugs and providing information to the patient
Ordering stock and ensuring that it is kept in appropriate conditions
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all medication processed through the pharmacy
Offering advice on dosages, side effects and other aspects of drug interaction
Delivering community healthcare services such as prescription collection and delivery
Offering screening programmes for common ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol
Recruiting, hiring and training staff including overseeing Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants
Working with the pharmaceutical staff to maintain a clean, customer-friendly workplace

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or pharmacology.
Proven experience as a pharmacist.
Valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications, used by pharmacies, such as MEDITECH and Mediware.
Great organizational skills.
