We are looking for Pharmacist who can provide pharmacy services to our patients. Receives, compounds, fills prescriptions dispenses pharmaceuticals, consults with patients regarding the nature and use of drugs, and trains and supervises personnel.
Roles and Responsibilities-
• Reviews, compounds, prepares and oversees the compounding, preparation and dispensing of pharmaceuticals to patients or medical practitioners; makes decisions regarding generic substitution of prescribed pharmaceuticals.
• Consults with patients on drug indications/contraindications, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects; provides other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate.
• Establishes and maintains methods and manner of storage and recordkeeping systems to provide for safekeeping of pharmaceuticals.
• May take patients histories as required; makes initial clinical assessments and refers patients to appropriate clinicians.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
- Requirements
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications, used by pharmacies, such as MEDITECH and Mediware.
Great organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
