Description: Orthopedic surgeons work with a wide variety of patients who suffer from ailments affecting their musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. They address physical traumas, such as injuries, infections, and other conditions requiring either noninvasive orthopedic procedures or surgical intervention.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
2 to 7 years’ internship and residency training, specializing in orthopedic surgery.
Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA).
Certification by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in orthopedic surgery and/or a subspecialty, such as sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, trauma, or pediatrics.
Valid and active medical license in the state you wish to practice.
Exceptional attention to detail.
