Description: The primary role of the Occupational Therapist is to direct all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation, treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation according to organizations guidelines, professional standards and community needs.
The position is full time Sunday - Thursday with a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements: Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or 3 years Diploma in Occupational Therapy (Full-time studies)
with relevant course in specialty area.

EXPERIENCE
Must have experience working in a hospital setting.
Minimum: 5 years of clinical experience as licensed or registered Occupational Therapist of which 3 years in area of specialty.
Preferred: 7 years of clinical experience as licensed or registered Occupational Therapist of which 5 years in area of specialty.
OTs with experience in teaching and training patients in the use of equipment, moving and handling techniques and therapeutic interventions.
OTs with experience in working with patients.
• Who cannot access their home to be independent in essential daily tasks.
• Rehabilitation following a stroke.
• People at end of life.
• People who are been living in a temporary community care placement who are returning home.
• People with moving and handling difficulties.
