Key responsibilities include prenatal care, managing labor and delivery (including C-sections if necessary), and providing postpartum care. Obstetricians also diagnose and treat various conditions that can affect womens reproductive health, such as menstrual disorders, infertility, and certain cancers.

Requirements: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
Fulfillment of the requirements of a residency program specializing in obstetrics
Valid state license to practice medicine
