Description: Diagnosis and Assessment:
Conduct thorough physical and neurological examinations and obtain detailed patient histories to identify neurological issues.
Diagnostic Tests:
Order and interpret tests like MRIs, CT scans, EEGs (electroencephalograms), and nerve conduction velocity tests to aid in diagnosis.
Treatment Planning:
Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for patients.
Prescription:
Prescribe medications and administer treatments for neurological disorders.
Patient Monitoring:
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and manage the cognitive and behavioral side effects of medications.
Collaboration:
Work with other doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and management strategies.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
