Description: Patient Care:
Providing specialized medical care for newborns, especially those who are premature, critically ill, or born with congenital malformations.
Treatment & Management:
Diagnosing and treating conditions affecting newborns, managing treatment plans, and prescribing necessary medications.
Parental Support:
Communicating with parents, providing emotional support, educating them about their babys condition, and facilitating parent-infant bonding.
Team Collaboration:
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, dieticians, and other medical specialists.
Clinical Leadership:
Overseeing complex cases, mentoring junior staff, and providing clinical leadership in NICU, high dependency, and special care units.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records for newborn patients.
Research:
Participating in research studies and clinical trials to advance the field of neonatology.
Continuing Education:
Attending conferences and further education to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in the field
