Description
Our medical facility is currently searching for an experienced and friendly medical records officer to join our Quality Administrative team. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including collecting patient information, issuing medical files, filing medical records, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain the Death registry for FUH & Submission the mortality committee report to DHA on regular basis. Additionally, maintain a tracker for the case files submitted to DHA.
• Collect DHA multiple statistical reports and analyses for submission to Regulating authorities in UAE on regular basis.
• Support the physicians for additional training on EHR templates.
• Review the patient’s records for completion and delinquency on daily basis as per the JCIA & DHA audit tool.
• Audit the patient files in case of DHA investigation for completion and submission.
• Prepare the mortality case files for DHA submission on regular basis.
• Communicate with the medical staff for the completion of delinquent files on a daily basis.
• Compile both electronic and hard copy documents appropriately and make sure they are saved as part of the patient’s medical record for accurate and easy retrieval.
• Auditing of patient’s medical records and sharing the findings with the physicians for completion and review.
• Coordinate with the IT for any new requests for physicians related to documentation on EHR.
• Documentation Audit reports submission to QRM & CMO on monthly basis as a part of Ongoing Professional Performance Evaluation (OPPE) to highlight the areas of concern.
• Maintain confidentiality in handling patient medical records at all times.

Job Requirements:
• Ability to understand Medical Terminology & Pathophysiology and ability to understand auditing of medical files.
• Ability to interpret EMR data.
• Ability to work on Microsoft Excel statistical tools, word and PowerPoint presentations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administration processes.
Proficient in information management programs and MS Office.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
