Description: A Medical Biochemist, also known as a Clinical Biochemist, is a healthcare professional who analyzes patient samples (like blood, urine, and tissue) using biochemical methods to diagnose diseases by identifying abnormal levels of specific molecules in the body, often working in a hospital laboratory, interpreting results, and collaborating with other medical staff to inform patient treatment plans; their key responsibilities include performing laboratory tests, analyzing data, developing new diagnostic assays, maintaining quality control, and providing expert consultation on clinical biochemistry matters.

Requirements: Bachelor’s in biology, chemistry, or related field.
More education, experience, or specialization may be preferred.
Familiarity with laboratory testing, data recording practices, and safety procedures.
Strong understanding of scientific concepts and biological processes.
Ability to train, motivate, coach, and lead a team of other researchers and research assistants.
