- As a histopathologist, you’ll work in a hospital, alongside many other doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, biomedical scientists, secretaries and mortuary staff. Most histopathologists don’t have direct contact with patients, but their work plays a vital role in patient care. On a typical day, a histopathologist may spend time in the laboratory
- Requirements
- A Ph.D. in medicine.
A minimum of 4 years of specialist training in histopathology.
Extensive knowledge of tissue sampling and analysis techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional clinical supervision skills to lead the biomedical team.
Regular presentation of tissue and cell diagnostic reports.
The ability to write lucid clinical audit reports.
