- Perform microscopic examination of tissue and cell samples (biopsies, smears) to identify abnormalities and diseases.
Diagnosis and Reporting:
Analyze and interpret pathological findings, documenting them in comprehensive reports for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Advanced Techniques:
Employ advanced diagnostic techniques such as immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, and molecular testing to confirm diagnoses when necessary.
Consultation and Collaboration:
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists, to discuss complex cases, provide expert advice, and contribute to treatment planning.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure accurate specimen identification, tracking, and documentation, and maintain strict adherence to laboratory quality control and safety protocols.
