Description: A dermatologist assistant works in a dermatology office or clinic, assisting patients, dermatologists, and other office or clinic staff. As a dermatologist assistant, you take patient vitals and prepare them for a procedure. Your responsibilities include asking patients about a skin condition and relaying any concerns they may have regarding treatment to the doctor. Your duties require an understanding of dermatology verbiage and proper medical practices. As an assistant, you help the dermatologist during patient exams and ensure they have the appropriate tools and devices available for use. You also assist during surgeries to prep tools, medicine, and other equipment.

Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
Previous experience in a dermatology setting is highly preferred but not mandatory. New graduates with a strong interest in dermatology are encouraged to apply.
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
