- Anaesthetists are the largest group of hospital-based specialists and give anaesthetics for surgical, medical and psychiatric procedures. They facilitate pain-free childbirth, resuscitate acutely unwell patients, run chronic pain services and lead intensive care units.
- Requirements
- A degree in medicine with a 4-year residency in anesthesiology.
A valid state license and malpractice insurance.
A strong working knowledge of maths, science, and medical practices.
Strong detail-oriented ability.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of multiple languages will be an advantage.
Ability to make quick decisions in a highly stressful environment.
