- A Light Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating a smaller capacity bus, transporting passengers along designated routes, adhering to schedules, and providing excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, while prioritizing safety and following all traffic regulations; typically operating within a local area with frequent stops and smaller passenger loads compared to a full-sized bus.
- Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and valid drivers license.
Minimum of two years EMT and driving experience.
First aid and CPR certification.
Knowledge of radio transmission codes.
Emergency vehicle operator certification may be advantageous.
Excellent defensive driving skills and the ability to read a map.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and reassure frightened patients.
