- Description
- A Cashiers primary role is to assist customers in the in-store check-out process. Main duties include ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment and giving appropriate change.
- Requirements
- Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, gift-wrapping packages and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate.
· Ability to calculate sales and change quickly.
· Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts.
· Oriented toward serving others and helping customers.
· Customer service skills.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Excellent verbal communication.
