Prevention
Vaccinate patients to prevent disease, and counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and other ways to stay healthy
Coordination
Help patients navigate the healthcare system, including coordinating care with specialists and hospitals
Advocacy
Listen to patients concerns and act as their voice within the healthcare system
Reporting
Report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to the authorities

Requirements: Family Doctor Requirements:
Medical Degree.
Completion of a three-year family practice residency.
Training in medical areas such as pediatrics, surgery, neurology, psychiatry, internal medicine, gynecology and community medicine.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Caring, attentive nature.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent quantitative skills.
