Anesthesia Technician Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment before, during, and after procedures
Assist anesthesiologists with the administration of anesthesia
Monitor patients vital signs during procedures
Ensure that all anesthesia-related equipment is functioning properly
Sterilize and clean anesthesia instruments and equipment
Assist with the transportation and positioning of patients
Maintain accurate records of anesthesia procedures and equipment inventory
Provide support during emergency situations involving anesthesia
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia machines
Anesthesia Technician Qualifications & Skills
Certification as an Anesthesia Technician
Previous experience working in a surgical or medical setting
Proficiency with anesthesia-related equipment and monitoring devices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with sterile techniques and infection control protocols
Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
Knowledge of anesthetic drugs and their effects
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician training program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow precise instructions
